Women Strong Network Hybrid Trade Fair CEBU

WomenbizPH established  the Women Strong Network with 200+ MSMEs as founding members, and representatives from WomenBiz PH, and the DTI to serve as technical advisors and with Training Partner Organizations; which provide the space for knowledge building and sharing, and innovation by 2022. Women Strong Network proponents  provide a community with scaffolds to foster and support network building.

As Culminating activity , Women Strong Network Hybrid Trade Fair NCR (July 29-31,2022) at SM Megamall  and CEBU (September 2-4, 2022) at SM City Cebu was organized to showcase the products and services of women entrepreneurs.

Women Strong Network Hybrid Trade Fair CEBU was the 2nd leg of the Culminating Activity  at SM City Cebu last September 2-4,2022 which showcased products of Women entrepreneurs in the Visayas and Mindanao region . Guest Speakers for the Opening Ceremony were : Mr. Charles Bodwell, Senior Enterprise Specialist of the Regional office of Asia and the Pacific (International Labour Organization) , Mr. Rabbi Vincent Ang , Officer in Charge (PAL Express) , Mr. Steven Tan (President, SM Supermalls)  represented by Grace Fornier Magno, Vice President for Corporate Marketing , Mr. Joey Concepcion , Presidential Adviser for Entrepreneurship (Founder Go Negosyo) and Keynote Speaker Director Maria Elena Arbon, Regional Director – Region 7 , Department of Trade and Industry (DTI).

Ms. Linartes Viloria , National Project Coordinator (International Labour Organization) introduced the ILO Rebuilding Better , Fostering Business Resilience Post Covid-19 program and Ms. Liezl Dunuan gave the Brief Background of Women Strong Network Hybrid Trade Fair and objectives.

Successful Women Entrepreneurs from Cebu , Laure Boquerin , CEO, Jamaica , a furniture exporter and manufacturer of global brands such as Ethan Allen and Pottery Barn and the “Chocolate Queen” Raquel Choa (Philippine Chocolate Chamber) shared their stories and journey to success .

WomenbizPH Chairperson Mylene Abiva gave the Opening Remarks , President Rosemarie Rafael introduced the partners and support organizations , while WomenbizPH Board members Ida Tiongson, Atty. Lorna Kapunan and Atty. Dick Baladad were Moderators for the Fireside Chat with the Women Strong Network exhibitors.

Women Strong Network Hybrid Trade Fair Awardees for Best in Booth Design and Best in Sales (Food and Non-Food) were awarded Computer Laptops for their business operations during the Capstone Awarding Ceremony.
