Advancing Gender Equality through the Women’s Empowerment Principles
UN Women Philippines invited WomenbizPH to present ways forward to further understanding, appreciation and implementation of the Women’s Empowerment Principles titled “Advancing Gender Equality through the Women’s Empowerment Principles: Learning and Deepening Session on Promoting Gender Responsive Marketplace and Transparency and Accountability”.
UN Women Regional Lead for Women’s Economic Empowerment Ms. Katja Freiwald was in the country for a weeklong mission and shared insights and inputs in the sessions.
Two key principles were scheduled:
AM Session : “Carving Pathways for Gender-Responsive Procurement in the Philippines”
PM Session “Integrating Gender Disclosures in Sustainability Reporting”
Donna Lina, Rhoda Castro- Caliwara and Gina Romero with WomenbizPH Secretariat Dorothy Thomas represented WomenbizPH during the UN Women event.
