BUYanihan Reseller Virtual Trade Expo – December 5-12, 2020
Women Connect – December 6, 2020.
On December 5 to 12, 2020, WomenBizPH co-organized the BUYanihan Reseller Virtual Trade Expo, together with the Association of Filipino Franchisers, Inc (AFFI), Go Negosyo, the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI). The event was sponsored by PLDT Ka Asenso, Philippine Star, Philippine Marketing Association, Philippine Center of Entrepreneurship-Go Negosyo, JCI Makati, Bounce Back Ph, and SarapPh.
Using PLDT’s Ka- Asenso as the official online platform, the virtual trade expo showcased the products of all participating resellers and franchisees to help them find potential expansion for their businesses. The virtual trade expo was participated in by 1,460 exhibitors, with 86,717 visitors. There were over 172,000 viewers in 9 Facebook Pages via Stream yard. WomenbizPH was in charge of Technical Broadcast and Marketing. Exhibitors’ fee of P500 was donated to Ïlaw Para sa Cagayan, benefiting a total of 600 families who received solar lamps.
On December 6, 2020 as part of the event, WomenBizPH organized Women Connect, a capacity building conference. WomenConnect opened with welcome remarks from WomenBizPH Chairwoman Monette Iturralde Hamlin, and Angat Lahat sa Digital Alliance and Go Negosyo Senior Adviser Josephine Romero. Usec Blesilda Lantayona of DTI’s Regional Operations Group delivered the keynote address.
After lunch, Angat Lahat held a forum featuring inspiring Filipina entrepreneurs: Mercato Centrale founder Ms. Vanessa Pastor-Ledesma; Milea Bee Farm owner Ms. Edilee Omoyon; Masuki Mami Restaurant Corp president/CEO Ms. Willen Ma; and ATE by Tatah owner, MMs. Tatah dela Calzada. Ms. Ginggay Hontiveros-Malvar, Senior Adviser for Agripreneurship and Mindanao Programs of Go Negosyo and VP for Reputation Management & Sustainability at Aboitiz Equity Ventures Inc. moderated the forum.
Rounding up Women Connect was Women on Spotlight, featuring leading WomenBizPH members who shared insightful trends, tools and strategies in the Now Normal: Ms. Cherrie Atilano on Food Security, Ms. Donna Lina on Innovations in Media; Ms. Ida Tiongson on Digital Transformation, and Ms. Jeannie Javelosa on Inclusive Business. Women on Spotlight was moderated by WomenBizPH president Ms. Mylene Abiva.
Philippine Commission on Women, Chairwoman Sandy Montano formally closed the one-day virtual conference.
