Dulce Punzalan represented the organization at the EU-Philippines Partnership Conference on the theme ‘The Green Transition: opportunities and challenges for micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) in The Philippines” (02 December 2022, Manila) The event is organized within the framework of ARISE Plus Philippines and took place as part of the National Exporters’ Week.
The Conference aims to discuss the importance and impact of ‘going green’ for Philippine MSMEs to access the EU market. It provides a platform to raise awareness on and discuss EU regulations and initiatives i.e. the Circular Economy Action Plan (CEAP), the EU Regulation on deforestation-free products, and the Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM).
The Networking Reception includes a signing ceremony marking the institutionalization of the SheTrades Hub in the Philippines, which was launched in December 2020 to increase the competitiveness and market access of women-led businesses in the Philippines. WomenbizPH members are also participants of the SheTrades Hub Philippines
