Mylene Abiva , Chairperson , WomenbizPH provided a comprehensive overview of the Women’s Business Council Philippines, its collaboration with the Asia Pacific Women Information Center (APWINC) Ideas Project called “Enhancing Digital Economy Participation for ASEAN Women MSMEs (IDEAS Project) supported by the ASEAN-ROK Cooperation Fund, the ASEAN Secretariat, the ASEAN Coordinating Committee on Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, and Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Republic of Korea. and the key objectives and achievements of the project. The trainers for the Digital Transformation Training Course were introduced, showcasing the range of experience and skills that they bring to the course.
The eligibility criteria for the IDEAS project training were presented, highlighting the focus on leveraging technology to empower women entrepreneurs in the digital space. The training is designed for women entrepreneurs with at least two years of business experience, internet-enabled laptops, a strong interest in online business, and a commitment to the program. The hybrid format of the training was explained, which will include face-to-face sessions for the first and last two days, with the rest being conducted online.
The expectations for the training program were outlined, including the provision of make-up sessions for missed training and the mentorship aspect. Details about the MME Expo in 2026 were shared, highlighting the opportunity for participants to showcase their products and the potential for business growth in the ASEAN market. Racquel Asa delivered a comprehensive overview of the Digital Transformation program, outlining the eleven dynamic modules that aim to revolutionize the way businesses operate in the digital landscape.
