Women’s Empowerment Principles Gender Gap Analysis Tool Workshop

Gender equality in business is a critical component of the overall process of ensuring and achieving business sustainability. Through the Women’s Empowerment Principles (WEPs) and its accompanying tools, forward-thinking and sustainability-conscious businesses are guided in their journey of promoting gender equality and the empowerment of women in the workplace, marketplace, and community. One such tool is the WEPs Gender Gap Analysis Tool (WEPs Tool), a business-driven tool designed to help companies and businesses assess and improve their gender equality performance.

With this, the Women’s Business Council of the Philippines (WomenbizPH) and UN Women collaborated in organizing an event entitled “Women’s Empowerment Principles (WEPs) Gender Gap Analysis Tool Workshop” last 16 February 2023, Thursday, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm, at Manila House, Taguig City. Ms. Rosalyn Mesina, PHIL Country Program Manager , WomenbizPH Chairperson Mylene Abiva and WomenbizPH President Rosemarie Rafael with WomenbizPH members Nikki Tang and Tonichi Parekh led the conversations.

The event provided a platform for WEPs Award winners and WEPs signatory companies to share their experiences in using the WEPs Tool and learn from each other ways and strategies to address challenges and bottlenecks to successfully completing it.

Above all, the event is geared towards ensuring the continuity of the WEPs journey of the participants, as well as an opportunity for them to connect with the WEPs network in the Philippines.
