Dr Leni Iboleon-Dy talks about hearts and women.
The Womenbiztalks forum on July 2, 2015 featured women’s health issues particularly on hearts and brains. Renowned Cardiologist Dr. Leni Iboleon-Dy and Ms Gina Lumauig of Neeuro spoke to a room full of interested women composed of career executives, WomenbizPh members and some media friends.
Dr. Iboleon-Dy surprised the women with her revelations that more women die from heart and Cardiovascular disease than from cancer. Many of these cases are undiagnosed heart conditions. She recommends observing a healthy lifestyle especially if one has predisposing factors leading to heart disease such as smoking, heredity, stress and diabetes.
Atty Lorna Kapunan moderated the Q and A portion with Dr. Leni Iboleon-Dy and Ms Gina Lumauig.
Ms. Gina Lumauig shared with the group the launch of a new product to measure the mind or brain activity with the use of a headgear which montiors brain activity. Further, to avoid dementia one of which is Alzheimers disease, the crowd was reminded to exercise the brain through writing, solving puzzles while keeping a lifestyle full of laughter and friends.
