Women’s Business Council Philippines (WomenbizPH) is part of the Philippine E-Commerce Alliance . The Signing Ceremony was held during the USAID Strengthening Private Enterprise for the Digital Economy (SPEED) Activity held on January 11, 2023, at the Makati Diamond Residences in Makati City.
The USAID SPEED is launched by the U.S. government, through the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) in the Philippines to help expand and advance the digital ecosystem and economy to promote economic growth in the country.
U.S. Ambassador to the Philippines H.E. Mary Kay Carlson was Keynote Speaker. DTI Secretary Alfredo Pascual , BSP Governor Felipe Medalla , DOF Secretary Benjamin Diokno , Anti- Red Tape Authority Director General Ernesto Perez , Office of The President USEC Cervantes , PCCI President George Barcelon and META (Facebook) Head of Public Policy Clare Amador gave their Message of Support.
SPEED will work with the government and the private sector to mobilize the digital economy for enterprise-led development and increase the participation of small-medium enterprises (SMEs) in the digital economy.The project will focus on four main objectives:
Women’s Business Council Philippines will represent the Women Sector as partner alliance . WomenbizPH Chairperson Mylene Abiva signed the MOU while WomenbizPH Member , Programs Committee Alpha Allaniqui also represented the organization.
